Capps' Last Field Day

Next year, I will only have one elementary kid. So weird. So strange...

Mac missed Field Day today because of strep throat. I just tried to enjoy the day and be with Capps. It was nice not to be running from field to field.

And Capps and I snapped this one as we were leaving.

Happy, Happy Birthday!
As I sit at soccer games six days a week, I am fondly reminded of the days I watched #17 play soccer in high school. He was a few years older, extremely fast, and fun to watch. Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have a chance to meet him. Let alone become his best friend and marry him. Happy Birthday, Babe! ‪#‎spysibrown‬ ‪#‎thispostisyourgiftandcard‬

Daegan's Lawn Care

Daegan has taken matters into his own hands when it comes to his finances. He made brochures and has visited each neighbor a time or two to check and see if he can take care of their lawn this summer.

He is also using Papa's push mower since he isn't big enough to use our riding lawn mower yet. He is paying Papa a portion of each lawn he cuts as a "rental" fee for the mower.

It is great to watch! I love his integrity and determination. I gave him some tips from my Rodan + Fields books and his "follow-up" with clients is amazing to watch. I see business in his future.

Omar and Pies

For our Sunday lunch to celebrate Jason's birthday, I made his favorite Mimi Lemon Pies.

Crazy Uno - Our New Obsession

The Pirschel's taught us how to play Uno, their way. This version has many different names - Crazy Uno, Mexican Uno, Pirschel Uno.  You decide.

It is fun! Many can play it together and even Mac gets into it without hesitation.

You play with multiple Uno decks, which equals four decks. If someone plays a card and you have the identical card, you can play it instantly and then the play continues from your spot in the circle (most likely skipping many). If someone plays a Draw Four and another person has that same card to play, they can play it immediately and the next person in the circle has to Draw Eight. We've had a few painful experiences of Draw Sixteen.
