It has been a long ten months. I left my real estate job in April. I've worked many, many different odd jobs just trying to help us pay the bills, which I didn't always succeed in and it will take me many months to make up for the unemployed months. It has been rough.
A few months ago, I was presented with the opportunity to work for the church full time when the new year started. I love working there, but being full time scared me to death. The Lord has gently led me to see this is what he has brought to me, I just needed to take it and do my best.
I was scared, but I am working full time. I am not as involved at school, and that kills me emotionally, but the kids have been great and I have survived.
My house is very dirty, laundry is never done enough, we are often out of food to make lunches, but we are surviving. I am learning how to juggle my time differently. The kids are learning to be more flexible. Jason is learning to help more. Omar is learning to play outside all day! We have a new look, but I have no doubt the Lord has placed me right where He needs me to be.
A month in, Jase and I notice two major things. One, not having the stress of my phone ringing 24/7 with real estate needs is amazing! And two, for a few stressed situations that have occurred at work, I haven't been as stressed because I know my boss has my back.
I never was looking for this job. I had many ideas when I left real estate. But I am thankful for what the Lord has provided.
