Fun Mom Friday - Pool, Pool, and Pool

After lots of job training and a hiatus from the pool, we ended up going three times this week. Monday with Mrs. Rachel to Mama Jo's pool, Wednesday with Connie and today we went with Capps' best friend, Goodwin.Goodwin's mommy happens to be friends with my sister-in-law, Mary, so cousins were there too! Louisa looking adorable!
Mac being a ham!
And we were swimming at a house that Goodwin and his Mom were dog-sitting for - that just happens to be my 2nd cousin's house! Crazy?!There was a slight scare when I got the van stuck in some mud, but with some coaching from my hubby, I finally got it out! Thank goodness no tow truck had to be called!

And tonight Jason and I are going out on a date and using a PF Chang gift certificate we got for Christmas! Whoo-Hoo! The kids love date night because they love having a babysitter. It is a win-win situation!

Pool Date with Connie

We got to meet Connie at the pool today. Big pool, no crowd (actually no other people). It was great fun! And these floats were very fun!Capps even braved the diving board! And Tavis kept doing 'cannonballs'. We had Capri SunsCupcakes

And PizzaConnie was an major mentor for me in high school. She was my Matron of Honor on my special day. And she is an incredible friend.
We hurried home at 2:00, so I could make it to a 3:00 meeting about real estate pictures and then I had more job training at 3:45. I didn't get home until almost 8:00. *whew*

Fun Mom Friday - Playground #3

Our Summer Playground Tour hasn't progressed as I had hoped, but today, at noon, I decided we needed to do something. At noon, I decided we needed to go out and do something. So we picked up some lunch and headed here! They have many little pavilions for picnics.I can't believe we've never been here, it is less than ten minutes - and the kids loved it!
They had play areas for all ages, which is convenient.
Slides of all heights and speeds. And different "swings" (unfortunately, all over mud puddles)Of course, Tavis picked the one with the most water under it.
Look at this cutie! (He got a haircut this morning)
It started to rain, but the kids kept playing!!And landing in the puddles! We headed home a soggy mess!

Stopped at Redbox and picked up "Rango" to watch.

Juggling Act

Remember this juggling act I mentioned with my new job. It has been a crazy week, and, oh wait, it is only Tuesday night.

Yesterday I went to a real estate class in the morning, ran home, fed the kids, got a load of laundry done and then headed to training at 3:00 (after Jason got home). At 6:00, I was finally heading home and picking up fast food for dinner. Then I worked on paperwork for a few hours. Jason was exhausted from the heat (working outside) and I was also exhausted and I think we were asleep by 9:30 - lights are never out before 11:00 around here.

Jason had set his alarm for 5:45 to head to work early enough to get 8 hours in and not be out in the hottest part of the day. Unfortunately, Capps had some breathing issues (we are working on figuring out what that was - possibly a panic attack from a bad dream or some asthma issues that we are unaware of? Or something else?) that caused a lot of hysteria at 2 AM and no sleep for the weary.

I had David today, had to take Capps to the doctor, plus finish my paperwork before next training session starts at 9 AM tomorrow morning. Plus, I had to pick up some materials from the office and get Daegan to allergy shots before 5:00. Let me just say, thank goodness for Bi-Lo rotisserie chicken!

I had two friends call me in the midst of my craziness today. Hope I didn't sound too whiny?

I have a lot of extra time away from home because I am training - the plan is for me not to be away from home too much when I've learned what I'm doing. It is going fine, just a lot to soak in - without my prior experience I would be a basket-case and probably already quit. Maybe?

So, it is going to be juggling act. Obviously, as I learn what I'm doing, it won't be as crazy or take as long. Plus, when the kids go back to school, it won't be as bad trying to find a babysitter. Yes, I realize five is a lot of "extras".

Deep Breaths!!

I think I just remembered there is a load of laundry in the machine that I put in last night, better go see if it is going to need a second washing - my house work is definitely going to suffer until I get a little more organized. ;)

And maybe my blogging too! :(

Perfumer

This is what I discovered in Mollee's room the other day. She was making perfume (thanks to Grandma, who gave her some old perfumes that Aunt Ruth left behind). For some reason, she was also squeezing the ink out of a marker to put in the bottles with her new scents. Doesn't everyone want a blue splotch where they've sprayed their perfume?

*sigh*

I searched and searched for a name for someone that makes perfume, but came up with only "perfumer" - anyone got another word?

And did I mention that I am highly allergic to almost all perfumes? It has been a few days and I can still smell it! ;)

Fun Mom Friday - "blank"

I had planned FMF to be bowling, but we did that for the Fourth. Then I had/have another idea, that I wanted to do on a Thursday night, but last night was Capps' birthday, so, maybe next week?

Then we planned to go to the water park with friends today, but when I saw 100% chance of rain at 1:00 and we were going at noon, we canceled. Guess what? No rain!!! UGH!

We did have those friends over to play and that was so fun. Mollee had Ally to play with, and they are always perfect together. I also got to join in the fun with pedicures and manicures.

The boys had Micah and he just bounced around from one activity to another.

Somehow I didn't take any pictures, too busy painting nails. I'm always trying to come up with something really creative, but I guess a play date was my FMF.
