Not available in stores!

I made this ornament when I was in 3rd grade. I remember thinking how wonderful it was. For some reason, my mom gladly gave it up when I got married?

And it has been our tree ever since!

Finally

Ornaments on the Tree!

We put our tree up almost two weeks ago, but it has taken awhile to the get the ornaments hung. I could have just done it myself, but I wanted it to be a family thing, so we've waited until we were all together.

Each kid has their own box of ornaments. We buy them an character ornament every year, but they also have ones they've made in school, gifts from teachers and maybe a few extras here and there that we 'just had to have'.It is so fun for them to go through their box and 'remember this one'.Mac actually got into this year, but was a little disappointed that he didn't have as many as the big kids.Ahhh, now it feels like Christmas.

I'm a little worried what David will do to my tree tomorrow?

This one is for you Danielle!

The chaos of Jason's truck,

and I'm not allowed to touch it or complain.

He says it is his only "man-cave" area and I can't clean it out!

Gingerbread Man

by Daegan

His homework tonight was to decorate this gingerbread man, however he wanted. I gave him full access to the craft cupboard. He chose a beard with glasses (hmmmm), bead buttons and some gold glitter pants.

This is typical 'Daegan-style'.

If Moriah can cheat, so can I. I didn't take this picture, but it is going to be a big part of a lot of my activities in the months to come, not to mention a big part of my life. My sister, Ruth, who lives in South Africa, got engaged last week. This is her ring! I get to do the planning on this end of the world, while constantly consulting with her. Her fiance, Gary, graduated from seminary the week before and they will marry here in April and return to South Africa where Gary is going to be preaching at the church he grew up in.

So excited!!!!
