Candlelight Service at CPC

We have never been to the Christmas Eve Service, but we were so excited to go tonight. I hear many people say it is their favorite service of the year, plus I am Staff now, so I wanted to make sure we attended.
It was a great, sweet time and we will not miss it next year!

(and, yes, I took a picture in church, much to my husband's chagrin)

Caines Christmas Chaos Basketball

Just like the old days, but bigger waistlines and more Aleve!

 The cheer section.

Caines Christmas Chaos 2016

With Christmas on Sunday, it worked out great for the Caines Clan to get together on Christmas Adam. It was a great day full of fun, food, gifts, and cousins!

A few shots from the day...

Grandma, with two of her girls, because she is never in pictures.
Me and my Daddy, because...it's my Daddy!
 All the cousins (except Emma)
We are always glad with Erick joins the Caines chaos.
Cousin love - being goofy with Peter.
I love the friendship between Eleanor and Capps! So, so sweet!
 Papa reading Luke 2.
 Prayers before gifts.

Grandma J - and the snuggly newlyweds in the background.
Granny getting a bowl from us that was carved out of part of the big walnut tree that was planted when she was a little girl at the McCutcheon farm. The tree didn't make it thru a storm this past summer.

With the Kemps

Long ago, in a life far, far away, we used to have Dusty and Rachel over every Sunday night. Now, we make a strong effort to get together at least twice a year. We aim for April and August, Jason and my birthday. But, life happens and we get delayed.

Tonight we went out on a double date and left this crew at our house.
We went to Mike's (since it was technically for my birthday, four months late, I got to choose the place). The best pizza in the world and incredible burgers.
So fun to get together, sans kids, and have conversation that lasted more than 3 minutes.

Love, love, love Dusty and "Skip".

Omar's window

Omar likes to sit in the front window and guard us. You know, from blowing leaves, neighbors walking, squirrels mocking.

Unfortunately, he can't quite get to the window with the tree in the way. But, he is still standing guard.

Mexican Uno with the Pirschel's

When you have many Type A personalities among twelve people, a game of Mexican Uno can get serious and physical. And fun!

Ticket to Ride

Daddy was working this Saturday, so I thought I'd try to play a game with the kids.
I made it, but patience was a virtue.
