Resurrection Egg Hunt

I'm not sure when this got started, but each year my kids want a picture taken with the buckets on their heads. So here it is:

A family photo, just because!
Thankfully, we made it without stitches this year!

Water Leak Entertainment

Sometimes, the strangest things lead to great entertainment.

My parents noticed a leak to the side of their driveway around 4:30 (on Good Friday afternoon). Of course, the cousins were all about playing in the water.Mollee and Tavis can drive me crazy with their shenanigans, but they sure do have fun!The water company came out and had to dig to fix the problem. The kids (and Papa) made sure they had an audience.
Poor guys were just about to get off work and got to end, not only their work day, but their work week like this.I was running errands thru most of it, but did stand around a little while and then drug my kids home. At 9:00, they were still digging.

(And the next morning, it was leaking again and they had to come back out)

Vertigo Leads to Half Attended Seder Dinner

I had one of those, "Greta-style" days. You know, when bizarre things ruin your day?
I just wrote out three paragraphs and erased them all because I decided not to bore you with all the details. Here is what it boiled down to: I went to the dentist today to have my final appt - crowns after root canals. I have vertigo, and I knew I felt a little "off", but thought I'd be ok. The first 30 minutes were fine, but the dentist had me tilt one slight way and my world went spinning and I had to call it a day.
Once an episode starts I can take my some dramamine and just pray for relief - sometimes it takes a couple of hours, but usually I just have to sleep it off. If you've never had a vertigo experience, I can't quite explain how terrible it is. I am usually unable to walk without hitting a walk (a humorous thought, I know), and I can't lift my head off the pillow an inch without the world spinning - it is so bizarre. Unfortunately, this particular episode wasn't so kind and I ended up 'hugging the toilet' for awhile. I had to call mom to come get Mac because he was so upset that I was so sick. Hope I didn't scar him for life.
Therefore, I wasn't going anywhere for the remainder of the day.
Tonight was the Seder Dinner. The kids have been talking about it and excited about it for weeks. Unfortunately, I was out of commission. Fortunately, Jason was willing to take them without me - not something in his comfort zone, but he knew how important it was to the kids and he knew how much I wanted them to be able to go.
Since I wasn't there, no pictures, but, thanks babe for taking them!!!!

Patton Pursuit

Daegan's 2nd grade class had to read a biography and then make a gameboard from that individuals life. Daegan chose George Patton (Papa was so proud). He chose to do a game like Candyland. Some of his spaces say "Won Battle, move ahead two spaces". "Lost Tanks, move back one space", but his second to last space says, "Break Neck, go back to Start". *sigh*

Grandma's Garden

My mom has an annoying green thumb. Really, it isn't annoying. She loves to garden! I, personally, loathe it.

I went by her house last night to pick something up and snapped a few pictures. Check out this arbor covered in white blooms (some cute carpenter put it up for her). Rose bush:Even her pansies are still surviving?

Greenery along the sidewalk:

And, she has a pretty flower bed positioned at the end of a electrical cable?

I'm glad I get to drive by her yard often and enjoy the beauty before I pull into my drive, which is covered with monkey grass and silver dust - that is all I can handle!

Just like old times.....

Key Word: Older!
I've spent many, many hours with these ladies! Throughout the newlywed stage and many pregnancies we've hung out. Shannon moved away and I don't see Kimberly much, but I cherish the few hours every six months or so we get to hang out!We met at the park, but I got there early to take advantage on a little time with my Mac! Picnic by the carousel.
On the carousel (I must really love him, I actually rode it - and didn't throw up)
I just love these shadow cut outs that are around the carousel:
(wondering if I'll ever use my camera again, even though the iPhone doesn't take great pictures, it sure is handy)

R2D2 and C3PO

We've always called Mac, R2D2. He beeps and squaks and make all sorts of strange noises throughout the day, and in responding to questions. So, when this cut-out was set up at the office, I only thought it only appropriate to get a picture of the two droids.
