A confusing Day Trip with Clock Confusion

Tavis had a soccer game Saturday that was two hours away.  We decided to make a trip of it and visit with friends afterwards that live just 45 minutes further down the road.

It was Daegan's birthday, and we started the morning with a few family rounds of his new game of Clue (the kids had never played).  Then we were on the road by 11:00.

The game was at 1:30, local time, which was 2:30 our time.  Tavis got to start the game and played almost the entire first half.  The coach had him playing defense this game instead of the front line.  He played great and it is fun to watch him thrive and enjoy this new endeavor.
Daegan watched the game with a book in his hand - a book we just gave him for his birthday, which he had finished before I kissed him that night at bedtime.
After the game we headed to our next destination to see the McClure's.  I know I have blogged about them before.  They are the friends that we have seen each other through good and bad.  We have been together before kids, before marriages.  They moved away after we each had one kid, but we have not lost touch and even it never matters how long it has been since we have seen each other last, our kids act like cousins and our friendship allows to act as if no time has passed since the last visit.

Since space is an issue when we got to their house, we spend most of our time outside.
 (Heath-dancing?)
And we had a little surprise celebration for Daegan - he wasn't expecting it since we already celebrated the night before!!!
 I love these people!!!!!!!

And we left about 9, which was really 10 our time, but that was really 11 our time with Spring Forward, so by the time we got home it was almost 1 AM or was it 2 AM????
